Hero Exchange Leaders’ Lunch (Melbourne): Terms & Conditions
About the Event
- These terms and conditions (Terms) are for the Hero Exchange Leaders’ Lunch hosted by Employment Hero Pty Ltd (ABN 11 160 047 709) (Employment Hero, we, us, or our).
- The Event will take place on Thursday 19th March at Eureka 89 from 12pm AEDT.
- We may change these Terms at any time prior to the Event so you should check this page regularly for any changes. Changes will apply from the date that they are published on this page.
Event registration
- If you have received an invitation from us to attend the Event, you can RSVP to the Event by registering through the Employment Hero website. A link to the registration site is provided in your invitation. Registrations will be open from 2nd February until 12th March or until allocations are exhausted.
- To register for the Event, you must provide the required registration information on the registration site.
- You will receive a registration confirmation email to the email address you provide during registration.
- We reserve the right to cancel or terminate any registration at any time.
- Tickets for this event are issued exclusively to individuals who receive a direct link to claim their ticket/s. Each ticket is non-transferable and must not be shared, sold, or transferred to another individual. Event registration links must not be forwarded by invitees to any other individuals.
Attendance at the Event
- To attend the Event, you will need to have registered for the Event through the link before the end of the registration period, and prior to allocations being exhausted.
- Upon arrival you will be required to state your name.
Publicity and Personal Information
- The personal information supplied by you when registering for the Event or attending the Event will be used by us in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You should always read our Privacy Policy in addition to these Terms. All attendees may have their details removed from our database by contacting us at privacy@employmenthero.com, or via the unsubscribe messages in emails sent by us.
- If you are required to submit a third party’s personal information to register for the Event, you must ensure that the person whose details you submit has given their written and signed consent for you to provide us with their details.
- It is a condition of registration for the Event that we have the right to publish and/or broadcast the company name, first name, home town, character, likeness and voices and details or information provided through registration or attendance at the Event by attendees.
- Attendees may be required to participate in photo, recording, video and/or filming session(s) (Publicity Materials). You agree that we shall have the right to use all the resulting Publicity Materials in any media and in any manner we see fit, unless you advise us at the time of registration or attendance at the Event that you wish to retain your anonymity. If you elect for anonymity, we may not be able to include you in all or certain parts of the Event.
- We collect your personal information in connection with the Event. We may, for the purpose of hosting the Event, disclose such information to third parties, including event organisers, caterers, other service providers and suppliers, and regulatory agencies. Registrations to attend the Event are conditional on providing this information.
- No fees shall be payable to any attendee in relation to the use of Publicity Material.
Intellectual Property
- By attending the Event, you:
- assign all rights to us (including present and future copyright) in any Publicity Materials, including in any contributions made in the creation of any Publicity Materials, in all media (including, without limitation, the internet), and whether in existence now or created in the future;
- grant to us a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide and royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify, publish, broadcast and distribute information in the registration for purposes of promoting any association with the Event, creating and presenting any Publicity Materials, carrying out marketing activities, and for our commercial purposes of advertising and promoting our products and services in any and all forms of media and in any manner we may choose
- agree not to assert any moral rights in respect of your contribution to the creation of any Publicity Materials (wherever and whenever such rights are recognised) against us, our assigns, licensees and successors in title;
- undertake to us that your registration and any content or material provided in the registration or through attendance at the Event is not in breach of any third party intellectual property rights and will not contain anything, which is defamatory, indecent, harassing or threatening and that you will indemnify us for any loss, damage or liability arising should this turn out not to be true. If relevant, we reserve the right, but not the obligation (and without limiting entrants’ warranty and indemnity as set out above), to screen, filter and/or monitor information provided by you and to edit, refuse to distribute or remove the same; and
- confirm that you have the right, power and authority to grant the rights set out above and that you have obtained all consents and permissions necessary to grant us the same.
- For the avoidance of doubt, all rights in the name and title of the Event and the format rights for the Event are our sole property and we may exploit the same at our absolute discretion.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide and royalty-free right to use, publish, broadcast, distribute and communicate to the public all or any of your logos, names, trade marks, or other branding content by including them in the Publicity Materials in any media channels without restriction or limitation throughout the world and not only for the purposes of the Event.
Limitation of Liability
- Except as specifically set out herein and to the maximum extent permitted by law, all conditions, warranties and representations expressed or implied by law are hereby excluded.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we hereby exclude and shall not have any liability to any attendee in connection with or arising out of the Event howsoever caused, including for any costs, expenses, damages and other liabilities, provided that nothing herein shall operate so as to limit or exclude our liability for personal injury or death caused by our negligence.

- Standard Employment Hero Platform Terms and Conditions may apply.
- Any personal information you provide in the process of registering for, or attending this, Event, is handled in accordance with the Employment Hero Privacy Policy.
General Terms
- We may vary the terms, or cancel the Event at our absolute discretion. Cancellation or variation of the Event is without liability to any attendee or any other person.
- Laws may apply to you or to us as a result of your specific location. If this is the case, and if those laws are inconsistent with any part of these terms, those laws will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
- If any part or provision of these terms are invalid, unenforceable or in conflict with the law, that part or provision is replaced with a provision which, as far as possible, accomplishes the original purpose of that part or provision. The remainder of these terms will be binding on the parties.
- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
