The Role
APF Cold Storage & Logistics is seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our high‑performing team in Adelaide. We operate across chilled, ambient, and frozen environments and require operators who work safely, accurately, and efficiently.
We offer two consistent Monday to Friday shift patterns:
7:30am – 4:00pm
11:30am – 8:00pm
Roles are available on a full‑time basis, with the option to work under a casual engagement and rate if preferred. Overtime may be available during peak periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating high‑reach, counterbalance, and electric pallet‑jack forklifts across all warehouse functions in chilled (2°C) and frozen (‑20°C, short‑duration) environments.
- Loading and unloading trucks in line with APF safety and compliance standards
- Picking and packing orders using RF scanners and WMS systems
- Handling palletised freight, including fragile, oversized, or mixed‑SKU pallets
- Shrink‑wrapping and preparing pallets for dispatch
- Completing manual handling tasks when required
- Maintaining clean, safe, and compliant work areas across all temperature zones
Skills & Experience
- Current forklift licence with minimum 6 months operating experience
- Experience in cold storage or high‑volume warehouse environments (advantageous)
- Reach truck experience (desirable)
- RF scanning experience and strong understanding of warehouse workflows
- Experience with WMS platforms; SAP or similar systems highly regarded
- Proven reliability and ability to work as part of a team
- Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow APF procedures
- Comfortable working in cold and frozen environments
- Experience supporting or leading small teams is desirable, particularly during peak periods or shift transitions (desirable)
- Willingness to assist with ground‑level tasks when required
