We’re currently seeking experienced, reliable, caring candidates to support our male participant with MS and with his support needs. MUST have experience with personal care (continence aids, showering, dysphagia) & manual handling (hoists/wheelchair).The role requires a calm, confident support worker with experience with wheelchair support and working with physical disabilities.

About the Role
Nestled in the picturesque foothills of the Scenic Rim, we are seeking a PPT Senior Support worker and a House lead with a 7/7 roster. Rathdowney offers a relaxed country lifestyle, stunning mountain views, fresh air, and easy access to national parks, hiking trails, and outdoor adventures. It’s the perfect location for those seeking a slower pace of life while still being within reach of larger regional centres.
In this rewarding role, you’ll make a real difference in the lives of people with disability while enjoying the benefits of an extended week off every second week, with an additional $150 per fortnight for your groceries expenses. You will provide support that promotes safety, independence, and emotional stability for participant’s with complex behavioural needs. This includes personal care, meal preparation, and supporting participant’s to build predictable routines, healthy habits, and meaningful daily structure. You will play a role in implementing behaviour support strategies, maintaining a regulated home environments, and ensure participant’s feel supported both at home and in the community.
Key Accountabilities

Essential Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in support work, mental health, behaviour support, disability, community services, or a related field.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours, including high intensity or escalated presentations
- Confidence implementing behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies
- Ability to remain calm, grounded, and solutions focused under pressure
