The Opportunity:

harder?
As the People and Culture Manager, you will be providing strategic and operational leadership
across People and Culture, Payroll, WHS and Safeguarding, working closely with executives
and the leadership team. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping culture, uplifting leadership capability, and ensuring best-practice, compliant people services across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee People and Culture, Payroll, WHS and Safeguarding functions
- Drive continuous improvement of HR systems, particularly Employment Hero, reporting and process automation
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, industrial relations and compliance
- Partner with leaders to strengthen performance, engagement and leadership capability
- Oversee payroll, workforce reporting, and people metrics to support decision-making
- Champion a positive, inclusive and values-driven organisational culture
What you’ll bring:
- Extensive experience in senior HR / People and Culture roles
- Strong systems capability with demonstrated HRIS expertise (Employment Hero highly regarded)
- Proven ability to identify process improvements and streamline workflows
- High-level communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- A collaborative, solution-focused mindset aligned to the Y’s values
Mandatory Requirements
Y NT, including its Boards of Directors, are committed to the safety and well-being of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. Y NT requires that all applicants undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but
not limited to:
- Valid Working with Children Clearance.
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
Any successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People framework, which includes a thorough safeguarding children and young people induction and a commitment to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout their engagement with Y NT.
