Description

Outbound Fulfilment & Shipping

· Oversee and coordinate daily outbound operations including order picking, packing,

labelling, and dispatch

· Ensure accurate, complete, and timely order fulfilment according to customer

requirements

· Coordinate shipment scheduling

· Generate and verify shipping documentation such as packing slips, labels, and courier

manifests

· Track outbound shipments and coordinate delivery performance

· Liaise with customer service for priority or special-order handling

Leadership, People & Team Coordination

· Directly coordinate the outbound team’s daily tasks and workflows

· Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new and existing team members in line with

company standards

· Act as a trainer and lead during daily operations (without responsibility for formal

discipline or leave approval as these will be referred to the Operations Supervisor)

· Ensure that the area’s processes are effectively managed and executed on a day-to-day

basis

· Actively support and promote teamwork, communication, and positive behaviour within

the warehouse

· Demonstrate and promote a positive attitude consistent with company values

POSITION SUMMARY

The Outbound Coordinator is responsible in ensuring that all aspects of outbound warehouse

operations are effectively managed, including accurate order picking, packing, and dispatch to

ensure on-time delivery to customers. The role ensures compliance with shipping procedures,

contributes to a safe working environment, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. This

position directly supports and coordinates the activities of team members in the outbound area

and plays a key leadership role in upholding operational standards, warehouse values, and

customer service expectations.

· Collaborate with the Inventory Coordinator to confirm stock availability and prioritise accurate order picking · Coordinate with the Inwards Goods Coordinator to align inbound scheduling with outbound planning · Support broader warehouse operations and communicate proactively with the Operations Supervisor System & Process Accuracy · Ensure accurate WMS updates for outbound transactions · Monitor and reduce order errors, shipping discrepancies, or delays · Ensure documentation accuracy and inventory movement integrity Customer Service & Continuous Improvement · Play an active and responsible role in exceeding customer expectations for delivery accuracy and timeliness · Identify and address process gaps or bottlenecks in the outbound process · Recommend and implement improvements for outbound efficiency, cost reduction, or service quality Work Health & Safety (WH&S) & Compliance · Promote and maintain a safe work environment by identifying and actioning hazards and incidents appropriately · Ensure team members understand and follow health and safety requirements at all times · Ensure full compliance with operational procedures and SOPs for the outbound area · Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and WH&S activities
