We’re currently seeking
three qualified Agricultural Scientists
to join our Leeton branch, with opportunities available in the following specialist areas:
- Agronomist
- Horticulturist
- Livestock Production Adviser
About the Opportunities
Agronomist
You’ll work alongside broadacre growers, providing expert agronomic advice and crop production solutions that maximise productivity and profitability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing professional agronomic advice and crop production solutions
- Building strong customer relationships through exceptional service and on-farm support
- Identifying customer needs and recommending products and services
- Contributing to branch sales growth through technical expertise
- Supporting customers to achieve profitable and sustainable farming outcomes
Horticulturist
You’ll partner with horticultural producers to deliver practical solutions that improve crop quality, sustainability and business performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing business opportunities through customer engagement and technical advice
- Conducting soil and tissue testing
- Assisting with crop planning, budgets and water management strategies
- Recommending products and services that meet customer needs
- Keeping up to date with industry developments, products and technology
Livestock Production Adviser
You’ll provide trusted advice to livestock producers, helping improve animal health, productivity and profitability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing professional advice on livestock nutrition, health and production systems
- Building long-term customer relationships through technical support
- Identifying livestock health and management opportunities
- Supporting business growth through stock forecasting, farm planning and industry training
- Staying informed on emerging livestock technologies and industry developments
About You
To be successful, you’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications (and/or postgraduate studies) in Agricultural Science or a related discipline
- A current driver’s licence
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A collaborative, team-focused approach
- A strong work ethic and willingness to support customers in the field
- Physical capability to undertake the requirements of the role
A pre-employment medical will be required for the successful candidates.
