About the role

This role is second in charge in our busy warehouse, and working to manage the daily processing, picking, packing and shipping of orders. Accuracy is key to this role, as is compliance with regulations, both in relation to the Medicinal Cannabis industry and in enforcing Workplace Health and Safety best practices and policies. A keen eye for detail and integrity in your work will ensure you succeed in this vital and energising role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proven experience with people management, leadership, and mentoring 5-20 employees
  • Enthusiasm to handle high and sometimes stressful workloads that may require work outside normal hours.
  • Uphold company values and customer service standards at all times
  • All daily outbound orders: Includes the execution management of order processing, picking, packing and shipping
  • Ensuring the accuracy of outbound orders and the reporting of any issues
  • Ensuring compliance of all warehouse SOPs, License conditions and legislation as directed by management
  • Daily organisation of team schedules, rosters and tasks
  • Enforcement of Workplace Health and Safety best practices and policies with assistance from management
  • Enforcement of Security best practices and policies with assistance from management
  • General housekeeping and upkeep of the warehouse
  • Weekly/Monthly or as required reporting to the Warehouse Manager
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with the training of new team members
  • Adhere to all OHS requirements and report to management as required
  • Other duties as may be required, from time to time.


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Tech-savvy with advanced computer processing skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work at a pace, multitask, and alternate between rolling your sleeves up and contributing strategically. You’ll be comfortable working in a scaling start-up environment where you’re expected to do a bit of everything.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret productivity and resource management data.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • You’ll possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes where required, and experience in writing protocols and policies.
  • Exceptional ability to develop and form genuine relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Must have experience in managing a team, rosters, workload and motivation.

 

Highly regarded

  • Forklift License with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • You understand the importance of a 100% accurate warehouse (no exceptions)


Other items required:

  • Must be willing to undertake a National Police Check
  • Australia working rights for at least 3 years
