We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Coordinator, Media & Communications to join our Corporate Relations team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging communications professional who is passionate about media, public relations, tourism and storytelling. Working alongside experienced communications and public relations specialists, you will help deliver campaigns, media opportunities, content and events that generate positive coverage for Victoria’s tourism experiences, destinations and major events.

You’ll coordinate a variety of communications activities, support media and familiarisation programs, create engaging content and work closely with tourism operators, industry partners, government stakeholders and media representatives.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can manage multiple projects at once, build productive relationships and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

About you

You are a proactive and adaptable communications professional with a passion for compelling storytelling and delivering exceptional outcomes.

You have strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work across a range of stakeholders and projects. You’re organised, collaborative and able to balance competing priorities while consistently delivering high-quality work.

You will bring:

• At least 2 years’ experience in public relations, communications, media, marketing or a related field

• Strong written communication skills, including experience developing media releases, media pitches, editorial content, briefs or reports

• Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities

• Experience supporting integrated communications, public relations or marketing campaigns

• A solid understanding of the Australian media landscape, particularly across lifestyle and travel

• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills

• A proactive mindset, sound judgement and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• An interest in tourism, lifestyle, travel, media and destination marketing

• A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or a related discipline

Experience using a CRM or media monitoring platforms will be highly regarded.
