About the Role
The ICA is responsible for executing the onboarding of new staff members, existing staff are continually upskilled, and service delivery remains aligned with VFGL standards, compliance requirements, and the modernised advice model. The ICA plays a critical role in supporting business growth, M&A integration, and the uplift of client service quality by delivering structured training.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Delivery & Facilitation
Deliver structured high-quality training and onboarding across core capability
areas, including:
- Financial planning processes & advice workflows (fact finds, SOA/ROA processes, implementation, review cycles, OFAs)
- Client service standards & communication (client interactions, service etiquette, managing expectations, escalation pathways)
- Systems & tools (Xplan, VIV, workflow tools, document management, digital platforms)
- Compliance & regulatory requirements (record keeping, advice documentation, risk controls, quality standards)
- Ensure new starters understand advice workflows, client service expectations, systems, and compliance requirements.
2. Capability Uplift & Continuous Development
- Maintain deep knowledge of all training materials, SOPs, systems and process updates.
- Execute refresher training, uplift programs, and targeted interventions identified by the CDM/ASM/RM.
- Provide ongoing coaching to CSMs to strengthen technical skills, service quality, and operational consistency.
- Support Advisors and Associates with training that enhances client experience and operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance to CDM on capability trends, training needs, and development opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of the financial planning advice process and client service workflows.
- Experience delivering training or onboarding within advice operations or
financial services.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, and experience using Xplan would be advantageous.
- 3 years’ minimum experience working within a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Clear, confident communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to simplify complex processes into practical, digestible training.
- Strong organisation, planning, and stakeholder management capability.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and adapt to changing priorities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency.
