Warehouse Assistant

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our logistics team in Strathalbyn, South Australia. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in inventory management, order fulfilment, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality of shipments.
• Organise and maintain inventory in the warehouse, ensuring items are stored correctly.
• Pick and pack orders for dispatch, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment.
• Assist with stocktaking and inventory audits as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse processes and efficiency.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe manner.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
• Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and lift heavy items.
• A valid forklift licence is an advantage but not essential.
