Finance Manager

This is an opportunity to work closely with the Executive General Manager, Board of Directors and leadership team, providing financial leadership that helps shape the future of our organisation.

You may already be a Senior Accountant, Financial Controller, Finance Manager or an experienced accountant looking for your next challenge. We are looking for someone who enjoys both the detail and the bigger picture.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the financial sustainability and strategic direction of the organisation through strong financial management, analysis and reporting.

You will play a key role in:

  • Financial management and reporting
  • Budget preparation, forecasting and cashflow management
  • Month-end and year-end processes
  • Board and Finance Committee reporting
  • AN-ACC funding analysis and financial performance monitoring
  • Capital works and development project support
  • Financial modelling and business case preparation
  • Audit coordination and compliance requirements
  • Process improvement and system optimisation
  • Supporting strategic planning and organisational growth initiatives

This role offers broad exposure across finance, operations and governance, making it an ideal opportunity for someone wanting to expand their leadership capability.

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA is preferred.
  • Experience preparing management reports, budgets and forecasts.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance management, preferably in the Aged Care sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience in aged care, health care, not-for-profit or community services
  • Knowledge of AN-ACC funding and residential aged care operations
  • Experience supporting capital projects or organisational growth initiatives
  • Exposure to Board reporting and governance environments
