Description

Symons Clark Logistics, a proudly South Australian transport and logistics business with over 150 years of history, we continue to invest in our people, systems and capability to support ongoing growth and transformation.

We are seeking experienced and safety-focused MC Drivers to join our local Regional Mining Operations Team, operating Double and Triple Road Train combinations within the Port Adelaide area supporting major mining contracts across South Australia.

These roles are critical in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient transport of containers from our Adelaide depot, with multiple roster options available to suit different lifestyle needs.

Roster Options Available:

  • 7 days on / 7 days off
  • 7 days on / 4 days off / 7 days on / 3 days off
  • 12-hour shifts

What you will be doing…

  • Safely load, secure and transport goods in line with National Heavy Vehicle laws and mass limits.
  • Complete pre-trip vehicle inspections and operate in accordance with all road safety and traffic regulations.
  • Inspect freight for damage or discrepancies and ensure all transport and delivery documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • Manage safe unloading at customer sites, ensuring goods are handled correctly and delivery paperwork is completed.
  • Support loading activities and provide assistance with site operations as required.

Do you have…

  • Current MC Licence (unrestricted preferred) with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a Flinders Ports and MSIC security induction clearance.
  • Strong commitment to safety, fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and on-road legal compliance, with the ability to confidently use GPS technology.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional approach.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.

Nice to have…

  • Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence (or willingness to obtain).

Successful applicants will be required to provide a Fit to Drive Medical, undertake a Drug and Alcohol Screening and Police Check.
