We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to take ownership of our end‑to‑end payroll function. This is a hands‑on role where your expertise in legislation, awards/agreements, systems, and compliance will keep our operations running smoothly every pay cycle.

What You’ll Do:

  • Managing all aspects of end‑to‑end payroll including adjustments, leave tracking, salary packaging and statutory reporting.
  • Administering and maintaining payroll systems, databases, and time & attendance platforms.
  • Interpreting awards, enterprise agreements, legislation and applying these accurately.
  • Preparing superannuation payments and ensuring all compliance obligations are met.
  • Responding to employee payroll enquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Contributing to month‑end, audits, WorkCover, and FBT processes.
  • Reviewing payroll data, driving quality improvements, updating SOPs, and supporting system enhancements.
  • Staying up to date with ATO, superannuation, and award changes.
  • Assisting the broader Finance Team with general accounting tasks as needed.

About You:

  • Working with Children Blue Card (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Minimum 8 years of end‑to‑end payroll experience, ideally as a stand‑alone operator.
  • Strong ability to interpret awards, agreements, and apply legislation confidently.
  • Proven experience with termination calculations and all leave types.
  • High attention to detail, exceptional problem‑solving and strong Excel capability.
  • Ability to handle multiple systems and transfer data accurately.
  • Professional presentation, strong communication skills, and a commitment to outstanding service.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and passion for efficient, compliant payroll operations.
  • Experience with Employment Hero, Deputy or Pronto (highly desirable).
  • Not‑for‑profit salary packaging knowledge (highly desirable).
  • Qualifications in HR, Payroll, Accounting or Business (highly desirable).
