About
the Role:
- ·Permanent or 12-month
Fixed Term Contract, full-time as a Senior
Finance Officer
- ·This role is
“all-rounder” to support all finance function
- ·This role
requires high-level technical financial skills, supporting the Financial
Controller in day-to-day operations
- ·This role will
be based in Redfern Monday-Friday
- ·Training
provided to ensure smooth transition to the role and the company
Your
primary responsibilities will involve but not limited to:
- ·Act as the 2iC for
the Financial Controller, assisting with the preparation of board reports,
long-term forecasting, and strategic planning
- ·Provide high-level
backup on complex technical tasks, including tax compliance, statutory
reporting, and year-end audit prep
- ·Serve as a
“floating” resource capable of stepping into any part of the finance cycle to
resolve bottlenecks.
- ·Lead the month-end
GL closing process, ensuring all journals and accruals are posted accurately
- ·Perform deep-dive
financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost-saving
- ·Assist in the
development and monitoring of departmental budgets.
- ·Review balance
sheet reconciliations prepared by the wider team to ensure accuracy and
compliance
- ·Monitor cash flow
position and prepare weekly or monthly liquidity reports for the department
heads.
- ·Audit internal
financial processes to identify gaps in controls and implement improvements.
- ·Act as a subject
matter expert for the team regarding financial systems and excel modelling.
Key
requirements: (Qualifications/ Technical & Specialist Skills/ Experiences)
- Degree in accounting is desirable
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working
in a similar role
- Experience with GRANT is advantageous
- Experience in SAP or any other ERP
- Strong computer skills in
Microsoft Office (excel, word, PPT)
