ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the State General Manager, the Auction Services Manager leads our local auction
administration support team and keeps the engine room of our auctions running – from pre-sale readiness through to post-sale administration and financial workflow follow-up. You’ll be the go-to person on the ground, making sure work is prioritised, issues are escalated early, and our national processes are delivered consistently at a local level.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach and develop a small team across auction coordination, administration, reception and site support
- Oversee the auction lifecycle locally — sale readiness checks, handoffs, escalations and workflow controls
- Manage local financial workflows including receipting follow-up, refund coordination and payment status visibility
- Act as the key escalation and coordination contact for the GM, BDMs and site leadership
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance and Customer Service to resolve issues and keep things moving
- Spot recurring issues and contribute to process improvement across states and divisions
ABOUT YOU
You are a natural organiser who thrives in a busy, process-driven environment — calm under pressure, across the detail, and quick to escalate when something isn’t right.
You will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in auction operations, administration, shared services or a comparable operational leadership role
- Proven experience leading teams in a high-volume environment with multiple stakeholder groups
- A strong understanding of auction workflows, sale readiness, operational controls and post-sale administration
- Experience with auction management systems (Salesforce or other CRM or online marketplace system is highly desired),or similar operational platforms
- Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach
- Sound judgement, practical prioritisation and strong follow-through
