Shannon Electrics is a trusted Electrical Wholesaler & Retailer located in Far Western NSW.

With a reputation built on quality products and exceptional service, we support local trades, businesses, and the wider community.

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general administration functions of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Monitor and manage supplier payment terms
  • Ensure payments are completed on time
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

Accounts Receivable

  • Allocate incoming payments against customer accounts
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up overdue accounts
  • Manage collections, including handling bad debts where required
  • Maintain accurate customer account records

Payroll

  • Process payroll accurately and on time
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Manage payroll queries and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and process superannuation and related obligations

Administration

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations
  • Manage daily banking, including cash handling and deposits
  • Assist with general office administration duties
  • Preparation of general marketing materials

About You

  • Proven experience in accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills including a positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
