We are a respected local business seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team. This varied role is responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general administration functions.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Monitor and manage varying supplier payment terms
Ensure payments are made on time to maximise early payment discounts
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

Accounts Receivable

Allocate incoming payments against customer accounts
Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up overdue accounts
Manage collections, including handling bad debts where required
Maintain accurate customer account records

Payroll

Process payroll accurately and on time
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
Manage payroll queries and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and process superannuation and related obligations

Administration

Perform regular bank reconciliations
Manage daily banking, including cash handling and deposits
Assist with general office administration duties

About You

Proven experience in accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
