Summary:
Join the team at Rosebud Motel and help keep our charming, albeit quirky, establishment running smoothly. As a Housekeeper, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our rooms, ensuring guests enjoy a stay as memorable as the town itself. Prepare for a role where every day is different, and you’ll never know what strange request (or guest) will walk through the door next. You might even be tasked with cleaning up after Roland’s “unique” breakfast experiments. If you’re ready for a hands-on job in a fast-paced environment with a team that’s more family than coworkers, then this is the job for you!
Responsibilities:
-
Room Maintenance: Clean and tidy all guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking supplies. Ensure rooms are spotless and ready for new guests, despite the occasional mess caused by our “eccentric” visitors.
-
Guest Requests: Handle any special requests with grace (whether it’s extra towels or a weirdly specific room temperature request).
-
Laundry: Collect, wash, fold, and distribute linens. Stay organized and ensure there’s always a fresh supply of sheets and towels, even if we’re running low on hot water.
-
Sanitation & Safety: Disinfect and sanitize all high-touch areas, like door handles, light switches, and remote controls (because you never know who used them last).
-
Inventory: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries. Alert management if we’re running low on anything, including the soap that Patrick “borrowed” last week.
-
Teamwork: Work closely with the Motel Manager and other staff to ensure the smooth operation of the Motel. Help keep Stevie’s “mild” grumbling to a minimum and coordinate with the front desk if a guest needs an extra pillow or a quick pep talk.
-
Dealing with Roland: On occasion, you may need to clean up after Roland’s impromptu “celebration” (aka “The Puddle Incident”)—stay cool, stay professional.
Qualifications:
-
Experience: Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required. We’re more interested in your attention to detail and ability to handle quirky situations with a smile.
-
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move moderate amounts of laundry and supplies (trust us, there’s a lot of it).
-
Organizational Skills: Can keep track of cleaning schedules, laundry, and special requests without missing a beat.
-
Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to unexpected tasks (e.g., cleaning up after Moira’s wigs).
-
Sense of Humor: Must be able to laugh in the face of chaos (especially when dealing with the town’s oddball guests).
-
Communication Skills: Ability to interact politely with guests and team members—this includes handling David’s requests for “the exact temperature of 68.5°F” and not making a face.
Perks:
Work in a one-of-a-kind town with an interesting range of clientele (including Alexis’ latest ex-boyfriend and Johnny’s “business partners”).Flexible hours, because let’s face it, sometimes you need to take a nap after a long day of dealing with that guest.Employee discounts on Rose Apothecary’s latest “artisanal” products (even if David side-eyes you for using them). If you’re ready to embrace the chaos of Schitt’s Creek with a mop in hand and a grin on your face, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today, and maybe you’ll get to clean up the mess left behind by the Rose family after one of their spontaneous events!
