We are looking for a People & Recruitment Specialist who can bring strong operational capability, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to supporting our people and business.
About the Role
The People & Recruitment Specialist plays a key role in ensuring our people operations run smoothly across recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day employee support.
This is a hands-on, operational role suited to someone who enjoys variety, solving problems, working closely with leaders, and being the go-to person for recruitment coordination.
You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process, support onboarding and employee lifecycle administration, maintain accurate employee records and HR Systems data, and provide practical support across day-to-day people operations. This role works closely with Payroll to ensure employee records, approvals and data inputs are accurate and up to date.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience across recruitment and people administration and enjoys being involved across all areas of people operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities across retail, warehouse, production and head office roles
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and support effective recruitment outcomes
- Manage job advertising, candidate screening, interview coordination and candidate communication
- Build strong candidate relationships and represent the Ringers Western brand throughout the recruitment process
- Coordinate pre-employment checks, offer documentation and new starter administration
- Support onboarding processes to ensure new team members have a smooth and well-organised start
People Administration & Payroll Support
- Maintain accurate employee records and data in Employment Hero, ensuring employee information is complete, current and ready for payroll processing
- Prepare and maintain employment documentation including contracts, contract changes, role changes and offboarding paperwork
- Process employee changes including new starters, pay rate changes, leave records, role changes and terminations in a timely manner
- Support leave administration, employee movements and general employee administration across the employee lifecycle
- Work closely with Payroll and leaders to ensure employee records, approvals and payroll inputs are accurate and provided on time ahead of each payroll cycle
- Respond to employee record and payroll-related administration queries, escalating payroll processing matters where required
- Support the ongoing maintenance of people systems, payroll reporting inputs and workforce administration data
- Maintain confidentiality, accuracy and data integrity across employee records and documentation
People Operations Support
- Provide practical day-to-day support to managers and employees across recruitment, onboarding, employee administration and workplace processes
- Assist with employment documentation, policies, and employee records
- Support performance review processes and employee lifecycle activities
- Assist with workplace initiatives and projects as required
- Provide accurate and timely people data and reporting
About You
You are a hands-on, organised, and commercially minded people professional who enjoys being involved in the detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in recruitment, people administration, workforce coordination or a similar role
- Experience working in a fast-paced operational business environment
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential information accurately
- Experience using Employment Hero
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify problems and find practical solutions
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- Experience supporting retail, warehouse, production or manufacturing workforces will be highly regarded
- Exposure to awards, employment documentation and employee lifecycle administration will be highly regarded
