Warehouse Coordinator
REA Solar – Redland Bay, QLD
REA Solar is seeking an experienced and highly organised Warehouse Coordinator to take handle the day-to-day operation of our warehouse.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable moving stock, preparing materials and working alongside our installation teams, while also bringing the experience and practical knowledge required to improve warehouse systems, inventory control and operational efficiency.
You will play an important role in ensuring our solar and battery installers leave each day with the correct equipment and materials required to complete their scheduled work.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the warehouse
- Pick, pack and prepare stock for daily installation work orders.
- Ensure installation teams receive the correct equipment and materials for each job.
- Load and unload deliveries and installation vehicles.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Receive incoming stock and verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and clearly organised stock locations.
- Conduct regular stocktakes and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Manage returned materials, faulty equipment and Return Material Authorisations.
- Coordinate the storage and processing of supplier and warranty returns.
- Maintain accurate records of stock issued, returned, damaged or transferred.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and communicate upcoming stock requirements.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, secure and safe.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layouts, stock controls and material-handling processes.
- Work closely with our installation, procurement, scheduling and operations teams.
- Help develop and maintain practical warehouse procedures and controls.
- Ensure high-value solar, battery and electrical equipment is stored and handled appropriately.
About You
You are an experienced warehouse professional who understands how to run an organised and efficient warehouse.
You are methodical, dependable and comfortable taking responsibility for stock accuracy and the daily preparation of materials for our installation teams. You are also willing to remain actively involved in the physical work required to keep the warehouse operating effectively.
You will bring:
- Previous experience coordinating or managing a busy warehouse.
- Strong inventory-management and stock-control experience.
- A current forklift licence and demonstrated forklift experience.
- Experience receiving, picking, packing and dispatching stock.
- Experience managing supplier returns, faulty equipment or Return Material Authorisations.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
- The ability to prioritise work and meet daily operational deadlines.
- A practical understanding of warehouse layouts, stock locations and efficient workflows.
- Confidence using computer-based inventory or warehouse-management systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with installers, suppliers and office teams.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- The physical capability to safely perform the manual-handling requirements of the role.
Experience working with solar, batteries, electrical equipment, construction materials or a trade-based business would be highly regarded.
The Person We Are Looking For
This role would suit someone who has previously worked as a Warehouse Coordinator, Warehouse Manager, Inventory Controller, Leading Storeperson or in a similar role.
We are not looking for someone who wants to manage the warehouse from behind a desk. The successful person will be actively involved in the daily work while using their experience to introduce better systems, stronger controls and more efficient processes.
You will take pride in maintaining an orderly warehouse and understand that accurately preparing materials for each job is essential to keeping our installation teams productive and our customers satisfied.
