Community Engagement Officer

Summary:

The Community Engagement Officer plays a key role building meaningful partnerships, delivering impactful engagement initiatives, and supporting outreach activities aligned with the GambleAware program. The role contributes to raising awareness of the GambleAware program, gambling harm services, mental health services, increasing accessibility to support, and fostering trusted relationships with stakeholders to enhance community wellbeing outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with community organisations, local services, government stakeholders, and partners to enhance service visibility and accessibility.
• Act as a key liaison between Lifeline Central West, Financial Counselling and GambleAware Department, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding of program objectives.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand community partnerships, for the Financial Counselling and GambleAware Department, that support mental health awareness and gambling harm minimisation initiatives.
• Represent Lifeline Central West, Financial Counselling and GambleAware Department, at networking forums, community meetings, and interagency groups to strengthen sector connections.
• Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions and engagement activities to support reporting and evaluation requirements.

Qualifications:

• .Certificate IV or higher in Community Services, Social Work, Health Promotion, or a related field
• Gambling Skills Set, or willing to work towards attaining.
