Join the PAMS Team

Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) is seeking a Utilities Officer to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our clinic, accommodation, and operational premises in Newman.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily cleaning of clinic, accommodation, and other PAMS facilities.
  • Maintain clinical and non-clinical areas to infection control and accreditation standards.
  • Prepare and clean accommodation for visiting services, including linen management.
  • Respond to additional cleaning requests as required.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the line manager.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices, including the safe use of cleaning products.
  • Understanding of cleanliness standards within a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and maintain cleaning supplies.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An understanding of and ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.

What We Offer

  • Salary: $50,400 – $58,400 p.a. (excluding super)
