Description

PLI, formerly Powerlift Industries is a Pilbara based, leading service provider in the Mining and Resource industries.

We are seeking an experienced Recruitment/Mobilisation Coordinator to join our HR team in Karratha. This role is suited to a highly organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage end-to-end recruitment and mobilisation processes. You will play a key role in coordinating workforce logistics, ensuring compliance requirements are met, and supporting the delivery of skilled personnel to site on time. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle competing priorities are essential for success in this position.

The Recruitment & Mobilisation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring:

  • the day-to-day admin tasks of the HR function are fulfilled.
  • administration support to Managers to carry out in areas including (but not limited to) recruiting, onboarding, training & development and other HR activities in conjunction with the HR Manager.
  • build and keep excellent office management and administration function support
  • high level internal and external customer satisfaction.

The position: high-level

  • Evaluate and screen resumes
  • Shortlist, phone screen and book and conduct interviews
  • Completing reference and compliance checks
  • Actioning recruitment and onboarding enquiries in a timely manner 
  • Sourcing New Candidates using appropriate strategies (e.g., headhunting, advertising, network channels, and referrals)
  • Maximise the use of our internal systems and data bases to ensure effective use of our existing labour pool
  • Identify labour shortfalls and supporting the recruitment of new personnel
  • Actively support the recruitment and selection process end-to-end
  • Coordinate the onboarding process of new employees to project and client requirements
  • Utilise relevant databases and systems to ensure information is accurately uploaded and tracked
  • Onboarding new employees, including managing the completion of compliance and verification checks
  • Facilitating a positive onboarding experience for all employees
  • Coordinating staff competency and compliance (police clearances, medical etc.) processes
  • Preparing new starters for commencement
  • Booking and scheduling inductions and training for all staff
  • Uploading documentation into HRMS and Client systems
  • Provide HR generalist duties and tasks, including assisting HR Manager

Skills, experience;

  • We are seeking an energetic, high performing team player with strong ability to balance compliance and priorities. You will need sufficient prior site mobilisation and recruitment experience and relevant skills including:
  • High level of proficiency with recruitment and onboarding systems, processes and technology
  • Familiarisation with blue-collar trades and relevant industry experience (mandatory)
  • Previous experience in the Mining and Resource sector (mandatory)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team and autonomously
  • Strong ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a busy work environment
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality, and
  • Continuous improvement outlook

  • In addition to the responsibilities described above, the job holder will be required to carry out any other duties in line with their experience, knowledge and ability as assigned.
  • Monday to Friday role, 8am – 5pm
