Who we are
Established in 1994, Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation (PMMRAC) is a not-for-profit organisation which delivers essential services (power, water and municipal) and community services (environmental health, housing and accommodation facilities) to remote Aboriginal communities across the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and Mid-West regions of Western Australia.
PMMRAC is seeking a capable and hands on Fleet & Equipment Asset Officer to keep our vehicles and equipment running safely and reliably across regional and remote operations.
This is a practical coordination role ideal for someone who enjoys working close to operations, managing assets in challenging environments, and making a real difference to service delivery on the ground.
About the Role
You will coordinate the maintenance, compliance, and availability of PMMRAC’s fleet and equipment, ensuring assets are well maintained, compliant, and ready to support operational teams.
Working closely with mechanical, warehouse, and operational staff, you’ll be the central point for fleet records, servicing schedules, and supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing fleet and equipment asset registers and maintenance records
• Coordinating servicing, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Monitoring asset condition, utilisation, and replacement needs
• Ensuring compliance with registration, licensing, safety, and warranty requirements
• Engaging with suppliers, dealerships, and service providers
• Sourcing quotes and supporting procurement of vehicles and equipment
• Working alongside operational teams to maximise asset availability
• Providing fleet data, reports, and practical advice to staff as needed
What You’ll Bring
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re organised, solutions focused, and comfortable working with both people and systems.
• Experience coordinating fleet, assets, logistics, or equipment in operational environments
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and record accuracy
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintenance schedules
• Confident communicator who works well with internal teams and external suppliers
• Exposure to mechanical, warehouse, or logistics environments is highly regarded
• Proficient in computer and IT systems, including the use of asset management systems.
• Trade background and MR licence advantageous.
• Experience working in regional or remote operations.
