Roastery Assistant – Coffee Dominion

Coffee Dominion is seeking a reliable and motivated Roastery Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. This is a hands-on role offering valuable experience within a working coffee roastery environment, ideal for someone looking to build skills in the coffee industry.

About the Role This position involves supporting the day-to-day operations of the roastery. You will work closely with our roasting team, assisting with production, packing, and general operational tasks while gaining practical, hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Bagging and packing roasted coffee products to a high standard
• Assisting roasters with daily production duties and the roasting process
• Weighing, sealing, and labelling coffee goods accurately
• Supporting packaging and dispatch of orders
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the roastery
• Assisting with stock handling and general warehouse duties
• Monitoring inventory levels and reporting shortages
• Following all workplace health, safety, and food hygiene procedures

Requirements

• Ability to perform manual handling, including lifting up to approximately 15kg
• Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (preferred but not essential)
