As a Kitchen Hand at Otto’s Group, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team within the hospitality and catering industry. This temporary, casual position is ideal for individuals looking to gain entry-level experience in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our kitchen and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of food items as directed by the chef
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas
• Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits as required
• Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a passion for food and cooking is advantageous
• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is desirable
