Guided by our purpose of creating accessible modern luxury for real life, we are proud to be celebrating 88 years of heritage while continuing an exciting chapter of growth and reinvention.

About the role

The Junior Project Manager plays a key role in delivering new store openings across Oroton’s retail network, owning the end-to-end project lifecycle from initial design concept through to on-site delivery and retail team handover. Working within the Property team, you will manage external partners including builders, designers, and fixture suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with Oroton’s brand standards.

This is a 12-month contract position, working 4 days per week (specific days can be flexible based on the applicant).

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Own and manage the full project lifecycle for new store openings, from initial design brief through to handover
  • Coordinate end-to-end store design, working with internal teams, architects, consultants, and retail stakeholders
  • Develop and present store layouts and space planning concepts aligned to brand standards and operational requirements
  • Review and refine store plans throughout the design phase to balance budget, customer experience, and construction feasibility
  • Lead pre-construction and construction phases, driving key decisions on layout, design, and operational requirements
  • Manage the tendering process for store projects, including reviewing contractor submissions and making recommendations
  • Oversee procurement of fixtures, fittings, and store elements from sourcing through to delivery on site
  • Manage relationships with external partners including shop fitters, landlords, consultants, and suppliers
  • Maintain project documentation, timelines, and trackers to ensure projects remain on schedule
  • Coordinate handover of completed sites to the retail team
  • Manage project schedules, meetings, and follow-ups to ensure clear communication across stakeholders
  • Oversee invoice management, purchase orders, and cost reconciliation
  • Coordinate logistics, deliveries, and hoarding requirements for store projects
  • Conduct site visits and support store set-ups, resolving issues and maintaining project timelines
  • Maintain clear and consistent internal communication on project progress, milestones, and timelines

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a project management role, ideally across retail store openings, fit-outs, or construction projects
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with project management or property tracking systems is highly regarded
  • Solid understanding of retail construction, fit-out, and fixture development processes
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and manage compliance requirements
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
