As Manager, Retail Planning and Performance, you will lead the development and execution of retail and advertising strategies that
maximise commercial outcomes, enhance passenger experience, and support long-term business growth across Cairns and Mackay Airports.
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:
This role focuses on driving commercial growth and optimising retail performance across
the airport network.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering long-term retail master plans aligned to business strategy and passenger growth
- Conducting financial modelling, revenue forecasting and commercial analysis
- Identifying and developing new retail and advertising opportunities
- Leading lease negotiations and commercial agreements
- Monitoring performance metrics and implementing revenue optimisation strategies
- Building strong relationships with travel retail and high street brands
- Leading and supporting the Retail Team across Cairns and Mackay Airports
- Collaborating with finance, legal, marketing and operations teams to deliver commercial outcomes
- Managing retail space optimisation and improving sales per square metre across retail sites

ABOUT YOU:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or a related field
- Experience in retail planning, financial modelling and revenue forecasting
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams
- Experience negotiating leases and commercial agreements
- Strong understanding of retail performance drivers and commercial strategy
- Experience managing stakeholder and tenant relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational, time and priority management skills
- Ability to make data-driven commercial decisions
Experience within airports, retail property, commercial property, travel retail or complex
operational environments will be highly regarded.
