We connect people, places and experiences — and we’re looking for a highly organised and commercially focused professional to support our Retail and Ground Transport teams across the airport network. This is an exciting opportunity to build your commercial coordination career within a fast-paced and dynamic operational environment.

As Commercial Coordinator, you will provide high-quality administrative and commercial support across retail and ground transport operations, helping drive commercial outcomes, stakeholder relationships and operational efficiency across Cairns and Mackay Airports.

ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:

This role focuses on supporting commercial operations, stakeholder coordination and compliance across Retail and Ground Transport functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate and well-organised administrative and commercial support to the Retail and Ground Transport teams
  • Supporting leasing and commercial processes, including contract preparation and documentation management
  • Coordinating billing, debt management and financial reporting processes
  • Monitoring financial KPIs and preparing monthly reporting and revenue tracking
  • Supporting governance reporting and audit programs
  • Assisting with stakeholder coordination and ensuring compliance with agreements and obligations
  • Supporting relationships with commercial tenants, retail operators and ground transport providers
  • Maintaining accurate records, systems and documentation
  • Assisting with regulatory and compliance reporting requirements
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across commercial operations
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to support operational and commercial outcomes

ABOUT YOU:

  • Diploma or degree qualification in a relevant field (highly regarded)
  • Experience in retail, commercial property management and/or commercial administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level organisational and time management capability
  • Experience managing documentation, reporting and commercial coordination activities
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • High level computer literacy, including spreadsheet preparation and analysis
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Knowledge of leasing, agreements, tenders and commercial management processes will be highly regarded

Experience within airports, commercial property, retail operations or customer-focused operational environments will be highly regarded.
