About the Role
The North Queensland Cowboys Group is seeking a motivated and capable Human Resources Coordinator to support the delivery of recruitment, onboarding and HR services across the organisation’s diverse portfolio, including NQ Cowboys Ltd, Cowboys Rugby League Football Ltd and the Cowboys Leagues Club.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for coordinating end-to-end recruitment, workforce compliance, and employee lifecycle administration, while supporting performance management, learning and development, and HR systems across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities across Cowboys Group, Football and Leagues Clubs
- Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees on people matters and workplace practices;
- Support performance management, probation reviews, employee engagement initiatives and offboarding processes;
- Maintain HR systems, records and workforce compliance requirements including licences, checks and certifications;
- Assist with HR reporting, policy development, workforce administration and learning and development coordination; and
- Work collaboratively with payroll, finance and leadership teams to ensure accurate and compliant employment processes.
Relevant Experience & Key Skills
- 3+ years’ recruitment experience delivering end-to-end talent acquisition across diverse roles
- Strong background in HR advisory and employee relations, including performance management, grievances and disciplinary processes
- Proven ability to interpret Awards, agreements and employment legislation with accuracy and compliance
- Experienced in HR service delivery and training, supporting organisational effectiveness across multiple business units
- Advanced user of ATS and recruitment platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, building trusted relationships at all levels
- Highly organised with strong time management, prioritisation and multitasking abilities
- Collaborative team player with a professional, confidential and solutions-focused approach
Qualifications & Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or a related
discipline
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Hold a Current or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (QLD Blue Card)
- Ability to obtain a suitable National Criminal History
