At Norsta North, we believe in nurturing talent from within. Our team is more than just a group of employees—we are a community that values growth, collaboration, and success. We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team as a Finance and Administration Officer with Australian Citizenship. This vacancy has arisen as one of our valued team members has decided to swap spreadsheets for sea breezes and embark on an exciting new boating adventure.
Our departing team member has made a valued contribution to the business, so you’ll be stepping into an important role within a supportive and experienced team. If you’re looking to join a collaborative workplace and contribute to our continued success, we’d love to hear from you.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within a small, collaborative team, you will play a key role in supporting the financial and administrative operations of the business. This position is responsible for processing a high volume of purchase orders and supplier invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable functions, supporting financial and client reporting, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating general office administration activities. You will be a confident communicator who can build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring day-to-day financial processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
As a growing business, Norsta North has spent the last two years building systems and processes from the ground up. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, can think independently, and is always looking for ways to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
Formal qualifications are less important than practical experience, a strong understanding of finance and administration functions, and the ability to solve problems and work things out.
The ideal candidate will have experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting processes, be highly organised, proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software, and possess the confidence to identify better ways of doing things.
As the business continues to embrace automation, digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence (AI), we are seeking someone who either has experience with AI-enabled tools or a genuine interest in developing these skills and helping integrate them into our current and future ways of working.
SECURITY CLEARANCE – Applicants must be able to obtain (and hold) Baseline Defence security clearance, which requires Australian citizenship and a willingness to undertake a National Police Check.
