ABOUT NOAHS HAVEN
Noahs Haven was built from lived experience. Our founder couldn’t find the right support for her son, so she created it. That’s the foundation everything here is built on.
We’re a Central Victoria-based NDIS provider delivering both Specialist Behaviour Support and high-quality Disability Support. We’re growing, and we’re building a team of support workers who genuinely care -people who understand that support is about the human, not just the schedule.
We don’t do corporate distance. We speak plainly, we support each other, and we hold ourselves to a high standard because the people we work with deserve it. We are a values-driven organization committed to:
-
Person-centered support that respects autonomy.
-
Human rights and trauma-informed care.
-
Real-world, implementable strategies (we don’t just read the plan, we live it).
-
Improving quality of life through genuine connection.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for Casual Support Workers to join our team in Shepparton. This isn’t just about “filling hours”; it’s about providing the kind of support you’d want for your own family.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Providing respectful, high-quality support with daily living (personal care, grooming, and dressing).
- Acting as a companion and advocate, fostering an inclusive environment.
- Assisting with mobility and transport to community outings, appointments, and hobbies.
- Supporting meal preparation and helping keep a home running smoothly.
- Following (and contributing to) individualized support plans with a focus on PBS strategies.
- Maintaining clear, honest documentation that actually helps the clinical team support the participant better.
WHAT WE OFFER
-
A team that has your back: You’re not out on your own. You’ll be supported by experienced practitioners and leadership who understand the daily realities of support work.
-
Real-world training: We take professional development seriously. You’ll learn about trauma-informed care and Positive Behaviour Support from the ground up.
-
A caseload that fits: we want you to turn up feeling refreshed and ready, not burnt out.
-
Competitive Rates: Fair pay for the incredibly important work you do.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who cares about doing this work well. The certificates matter, but the kind of person you are matters more.
You’ll need:
-
The Basics: NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check, and a valid Driver’s Licence with a reliable vehicle.
-
The Skills: Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
-
The Mindset: A proactive, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach. You see the person, not the disability.
-
Communication: The ability to build trusting relationships with participants and collaborate with families and allied health teams.
Highly Regarded:
- Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services.
- Experience supporting people with complex needs or “behaviours of concern.”
- An understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework.
SOUNDS LIKE YOU?
If you’re a Support Worker who wants to do meaningful work, be properly supported, and be part of a team that actually cares about the humans they’re helping, we’d love to hear from you.
