NHS Trade has an opportunity for someone to join our team as Freight Expeditor at our Beresfield branch.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Freight Expeditor to coordinate the efficient scheduling and delivery of customer orders across our Beresfield branch.

Reporting to the Freight Manager, this role plays a critical part in ensuring customer deliveries are planned, coordinated and communicated effectively to support a dependable customer experience.

You will work closely with our freight team, sales team, warehouse and yard operations to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule customer deliveries to maximise fleet utilisation and operational efficiency
  • Maintain effective communication with customers regarding delivery timing and updates
  • Liaise closely with drivers, warehouse and sales teams to ensure orders are accurately prepared and dispatched
  • Monitor daily delivery schedules and proactively manage changes, delays and customer requirements
  • Ensure transport documentation, delivery paperwork and system records are accurate and up to date
  • Support a strong safety culture across all freight activities and comply with NHS WHS requirements
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external customers
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery performance, customer service and operational efficiency

About You

You are organised, proactive and thrive in a fast-paced environment where communication and attention to detail are critical.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in a logistics, transport, dispatch, scheduling or customer service environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
  • A customer-focused approach and commitment to providing exceptional service
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think ahead and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Good computer literacy and confidence using business systems
  • A proactive and dependable approach to work
  • A current NSW Driver Licence (Provisional or above)
