At New Growth Care Group, we don’t just fill shifts, we build strong, safe, well-run services where participants and staff genuinely thrive.
We’re looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our leadership team and play a key operational role across our SIL homes and community supports. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and absolutely requires prior disability sector experience.
💼 About the Role
As a Team Leader, you’ll be right at the centre of service delivery.
You’ll support House Managers and the broader operational team to ensure services are safe, compliant, well-coordinated, and genuinely person-centred. You’ll lead from the front, support staff, manage issues as they arise, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
This is not an entry-level role. You must understand how disability services actually run day to day.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating day-to-day operations across SIL and community supports
- Acting as a key link between participants, families, support workers, rostering, intake and management
- Troubleshooting operational issues and escalating where needed
- Supporting staff through shift changes, incidents, and complex situations
- Assisting with rostering decisions, coverage, and workforce planning
- Supporting intake by assessing the viability of new participants
- Overseeing documentation, incident reports, compliance and audits
- Supporting staff induction, supervision, mentoring and development
- Managing and reviewing conflict of interest registers
- Promoting a positive, accountable and professional workplace culture
🧠 This Role Is For You If You:
- Have solid experience in the disability sector (SIL and/or community)
- Understand NDIS Practice Standards, incident management, and compliance
- Are confident leading staff and handling operational issues
- Can balance empathy with accountability
- Communicate clearly, calmly and professionally under pressure
- Enjoy problem-solving and taking ownership
✅ You MUST Have
- Demonstrated experience working in disability services (essential)
- Strong understanding of the NDIS, participant pathways and service delivery
- Experience supporting and leading support workers
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Confidence using systems (Microsoft Office, care management platforms)
- Full working rights in Australia
Highly regarded:
- Qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Welfare or similar
- Experience with NDIS plan implementation and reviews
- Strong working knowledge of NDIS Pricing Arrangements
✨ Why Join New Growth?
- A genuine leadership role with real influence
- Supportive, values-driven executive and operations team
- Well-run, beautifully presented SIL homes we’re proud of
- Clear systems, strong expectations, and real backing
- Work that matters, with people who care
