About the Role

We’re looking for an organised and people-focused Recruitment Officer to join our HR team based at Gold Netball Centre in Jolimont. This role is a max term contract working part time of 22.5 hours (0.6FTE) per week through to February 2027 with the possibility of extension.

As our Recruitment Officer, you’ll lead and coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities across Netball WA and Glass Jar Australia, helping us attract, engage and support great people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities
  • Manage job advertising and candidate enquiries
  • Schedule and conduct interviews with hiring managers, both in person and via Microsoft Teams
  • Complete reference checks and pre-employment screening clearances
  • Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation and processes
  • Coordinate and manage employee inductions
  • Support managers with recruitment advice and workforce planning
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
  • Work with HR Manager to contribute to broader HR team and any HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required
  • Ensure NWA and GJA meet all legislative requirements
  • Adhere to and comply with NWA policies and procedures
  • Any other duties within the Employee’s capabilities and which is reasonable to expect the Employee to undertake as directed by Chief Executive Officer or HR Manager from time to time

What are we looking for?

  • Diploma or Certificate IV in HR, Business Administration or relevant discipline (Essential)
  • A current ‘C’ class WA drivers licence (Essential)
  • Current WA Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Essential)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role or industry (Essential)
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to build strong and positive relationships with managers and candidates
  • High level of attention to detail as well as privacy and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated alignment with NWA values and a commitment to service excellence
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit industry would be highly regarded
  • Experience working with Aboriginal people, including a demonstrated ability to communicate and engage sensitively and effectively would be highly regarded
