About the role:
A hands-on role operating within a hybrid support model. While an external IT partner manages day-to-day end-user support, this position owns the quality and performance of IT services, overseeing on-site hardware and factory systems, identity and access management, disaster recovery, and ensuring the overall resilience of the IT environment.
Key Responsibilities but not limited too:
- Act as the escalation point for business-critical IT incidents, particularly those impacting manufacturing, warehousing, and fulfilment.
- Coordinate with other vendors as required for networking, security, and specialist support
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with production devices such as scanners, printers, standalone PCs, and site infrastructure.
- Enforce joiner, mover, and leaver processes, working with our external partner for execution.
- Maintain buffer stock of critical devices to support rapid onboarding and replacements.
- Ensure backups are functioning, monitored, and periodically tested.
- Improve consistency, repeatability, and clarity across IT operations as the business scales.
- Act as the technical application administrator for Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP.
Skills & Experience:
Essential
- 5+ years’ experience in IT operations, IT support, or infrastructure-focused roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and endpoint management.
- Practical experience administering or supporting enterprise network equipment such as Juniper firewalls and Cisco Meraki switches and access points
- Experience supporting operational or manufacturing environments with physical devices and site infrastructure.
Desirable:
- Experience in food manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environments.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals, backup strategies, and DR planning.
- Exposure to IT audits or compliance processes.
