Description

Summary:

We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our Business Services team. This role provides support to the Manager, Senior Accountants, and other team members to provide a full range of professional tax and advisory services to our clients. Responsible for the timely completion of assigned tasks, assisting junior team members and managing work at volume with increasing technical knowledge and agility. We are focused on your development in the role, as you progressively take on more complex work and optimise your efficiency and output while completing CPA/CA certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of management reports, financial statements, tax returns and BAS for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts.
  • Build relationships with key client contacts with timely responses to queries.
  • Identify issues, understand implications, and formulate solutions with your manager to present to the client.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and best practices

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in professional accounting roles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
