Graduate Accountant – Expression of Interest

Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Accountant to join our dynamic team in Melbourne CBD. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the professional accounting industry.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual income tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships.
• Prepare financial statements.
• Prepare Fringe Benefits Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements.
• Prepare Superannuation Fund accounting and taxation matters.
• Assist clients with budgets and cashflows.
• Assist Manager with tax lodgment program.
• Liaise with ATO, ASIC, SRO 
• Utilising the standard working papers and precedents set by the firm.
• Liaising with clients in a friendly and professional manger, always adhering to customer service guidelines.
• Undertake all training and development activities provided by the firm.
• Work cohesively and cooperatively with team members and the wider employee and management group.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
