OUR VISION
We’re looking for a commercially minded, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to play a hands-on role in expanding our market presence, growing our client base, and strengthening our revenue pipeline across Sydney and other regions as required.
You’ll bring together strategy, curiosity, and confidence to drive new business acquisition, elevate our brand in the market, and ensure MicrotechDPS continues to be recognised for what we do best: empowering and protecting businesses through technology.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, this role plays a pivotal part in driving new client acquisition, building a healthy and sustainable sales pipeline, and converting opportunity into long-term client partnerships across the designated territory.
This is predominantly an external-facing, new business role, ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the market, opening doors, having meaningful commercial conversations with business owners and decision-makers, and introducing them to smarter, more secure ways of running their technology. In addition to driving new business, you’ll also take on a portfolio of existing clients, giving you the opportunity to build on relationships and deliver ongoing value.
As Business Development Manager, you will:
- Own the full new-business lifecycle – from prospecting and first contact through to proposal, close and long-term relationship handover
- Actively identify and pursue new sales opportunities across Sydney and surrounding regions through outbound activity, referrals, networking and digital outreach
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business, technology challenges and growth goals
- Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to design tailored, client-specific solutions across IT services, cyber security, managed print, and infrastructure
- Prepare and deliver high-quality proposals and presentations that clearly articulate business value, risk mitigation and return on investment
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting and activity tracking within Salesforce
- Contribute to sales strategy, market intelligence and marketing activity through insights, feedback and performance data
- Represent MicrotechDPS with integrity and professionalism at all times, including at networking events and client meetings
