About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and responsible full-time, HC Delivery Driver to join our Townsville team! The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of stock between Max Stocks’ Townsville and Cairns depots. Working a predominantly set and consistent roster, Sunday to Thursday, this role is ideal for an experienced, HC licenced driver who is looking for structure and routine in their work. Departing our Townsville depot in Bohle at 2:30pm, this role makes the return trip to our Cairns depot and back in each, approximately 9-hour, shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive safely, respectfully, defensively, and to relevant road conditions.
  • Ensure vehicle is defect-free, clean and well-presented.
  • Carry out administrative tasks, including maintaining a vehicle logbook.
  • Position vehicle for loading or unloading.
  • Carry out vehicle loading or unloading as required.

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

  • Current Queensland HC (or higher) drivers’ licence (essential)
  • High-Risk Forklift Licence (preferred)
  • Skilled defensive driver with sound experience driving heavy-combination vehicles.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to work independently in a efficient but safe manner.
  • Focus on safety with the physical capability and mental agility to work safely in a physically demanding and/or high-risk work environment.
  • Keen eye for detail, understanding the importance of accuracy, organisation and cleanliness.
