About the role
We have an exciting
opportunity for a Data & BI Specialist to drive the performance and
evolution of our data and reporting environment.
A newly created position within our Technology Team, the role
requires a unique blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.
Working collaboratively across the Association you will be tasked with understanding
business challenges and objectives, translating them into practical data,
reporting, and technology solutions.
What you’ll do:
- Proactively work with the business to
design, develop, maintain, and enhance high-quality Power BI dashboards and
reports
- Deliver accurate, timely, and
meaningful reporting solutions for operational and strategic use.
- Provide the business with data
reports out of CRM and other business systems.
- Maintain up-to-date and
fit-for-purpose documentation of the data warehouse and Power BI environment,
including data models, processes, and dependencies
- Support integration of data
across multiple systems and platforms.
- Support data integrity, quality, and governance initiatives.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and reporting issues.
- Contribute to the development of data standards, policies, and
procedures.
- Identify opportunities to
improve reporting processes, data accessibility, and business intelligence
capability.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Tertiary
qualification in IT, Data, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Microsoft
certifications in Power BI, Azure, or similar (desirable).
- 3+
years’ experience in BI, data engineering, or BI development.
- Demonstrated
experience in power BI development, including dashboard design, semantic
modelling, DAX, Power Query, performance tuning, and publishing/governance
patterns.
- Strong
SQL capability, with experience in querying, optimisation, and
troubleshooting.
- Understanding
of data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes.
- Proven
interpersonal skills with the ability to develop trusted relationships
with internal stakeholders, understanding their operational and strategic needs.
- Experience working with external
vendors, including issue triage, SLA management, change delivery, and knowledge
transfer.
