ABOUT THE ROLE: You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our members and guests enjoy outstanding bar, dining and event experiences. You will be part of a dedicated team and uphold the highest standards of event delivery, service and quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service
Greet guests in a warm, welcoming manner.Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout the guest experience.Respond promptly to guest requests.Order Taking & Service
Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS systems or manually, as required.Deliver meals, snacks, and drinks to tables, lounges, or event areas in a timely fashion.Maintain product knowledge to provide recommendations and upsell where appropriate.Prepare and serve beverages including coffee, cocktails, alcoholic drinks, and non-alcoholic options.Cleanliness & Presentation
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service counters, and food preparation zones.Clear and reset tables efficiently between guests or rounds of service.Ensure all equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware are clean and properly stored.Event & Function Support
Set up, service, and pack down for weddings, corporate functions, and club events from 40-160 pax.Follow specific service standards (e.g., plated, buffet, cocktail-style events).Compliance & Safety
Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety guidelines.Comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) legislation.Report incidents or hazards to supervisors immediately.Teamwork & Communication
Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams.Attend pre-shift briefings and contribute to a positive team culture.Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth service.Stock & Inventory
Assist in restocking fridges, bars, and storerooms.Monitor and report low stock or damaged items.Venue Standards & Presentation
Ensure all areas reflect the quality, service, and image standards of the venue or club.Take pride in personal grooming and uniform presentation.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Previous experience in a food and beverage role, preferably in a hospitality or a golf resort environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.Available to work a flexible roster to suit the needs of a 7-day operation.Extensive knowledge of bar, wine and cocktails plus barista skills (SOL Cafe & Bar).Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in food and beverage service.
