This is not a typical Chief People Officer role.

 

Reporting directly to the CEO and working as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape workforce strategy, lead culture and safety initiatives, influence Board decisions and remain closely connected to the day-to-day realities of the organisation. The role leads the People, Culture and Safety functions and has responsibility for workforce planning, employee relations, organisational culture, WHS, compliance and governance.

 

In a lean and collaborative environment, you’ll combine strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in workforce projects, complex employee matters, investigations, performance management, safety initiatives and organisational improvement.

 

What you’ll do

  • Partner with the CEO, Executive Team and Board on workforce strategy
  • Lead People, Culture and Safety across the organisation
  • Drive culture, engagement and workforce capability initiatives
  • Lead complex employee relations, investigations and workplace matters
  • Oversee WHS, workers compensation and workforce compliance
  • Deliver workforce reporting, insights and governance outcomes
  • Support leaders to build high-performing teams
  • Lead workforce projects and continuous improvement initiatives

 About you

 

You are an experienced People & Culture leader who enjoys both strategic influence and operational involvement.

 

You will bring:

  • Significant senior HR leadership experience
  • Strong ER/IR and employee relations expertise
  • Experience leading investigations and workplace matters
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and WHS requirements
  • Experience partnering with Executives and Boards
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

 Experience in aged care, healthcare or other complex service environments is highly regarded.
