Overview of the position:

The purpose of this role is to prepare, stock, maintain and organise Palyku vending machines located across designated mine sites in the Pilbara.

This is a DIDO role based in Port Hedland

The role will be required to attend to automated retail operations, ensuring that the machines operate efficiently, are fully stocked with products and always working safely.

The technician will also work with the Senior Vending Technician and Regional Services Coordinator to manage, order, receipt and organise stock across storage locations, as well as fix machine faults & errors.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Vending Refilling

  • Service, refill and maintain vending machines across site in line with schedules and Journey Management Plans
  • Ensure machines are fully stocked and operational, responding to faults as required
  • Pick, pack and transport stock from refrigerated containers
  • Complete basic maintenance and record all work in registers and systems
  • Manage stock levels, conduct stocktakes, and coordinate weekly site orders
  • Receive and reconcile deliveries in line with site processes
  • Provide responsive, professional service to site personnel

Stock Management

  • Maintain clean and clear organisation of stock in storage areas as defined by Safe Operating Procedures (SOP) and the Container plan.
  • Maintain the stock levels in machines using our software systems, including reporting wastage and out of date stock.
  • Conduct a stocktake on the last day of each swing & each month according to the PR processes.
  • Place stock orders for each site each week, receive stock from Civeo truck as it arrives, and receipt arrived stock by sending suppliers scanned invoices of the stock arrived on site according to PR processes.

Quality and customer services

  • Provide excellent customer service on site when refilling machines.
  • Maintain email inbox when on site and respond to any queries and concerns in conjunction with the Senior Vending Technician. Respond to emails in a timely manner.
  • Attend to machine faults as reported in a timely manner & record these in the machine fault register.

Safety Performance

  • Pre-start every morning with site supervision.
  • Perform regular toolbox meetings with Group Regional Services Coordinator & site supervision.
  • Participate in daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings
  • Adhere to all site safety, fatigue management and operational procedures
  • Complete required inductions and ongoing training

  • Australian Drivers Licence – Current and Valid
