Casual | Pathway to Full Time | Multiple Roles Available

HDS is one of Australia’s fastest-growing logistics providers, supporting major retail and consumer brands nationwide. Following a new client win at our Morningside depot, we’re taking on additional headcount across three key warehouse roles.

The Opportunity:

Whether you’re picking orders in a cold room environment, building and sealing delivery boxes on the pack line, or operating a forklift across temperature-controlled storage areas – these are hands-on roles suited to people who take pride in their work, show up reliably, and thrive in a structured team environment. These are casual positions with a genuine pathway to full-time employment for the right candidates.

Pickers:

• Approx 7:00am Start
• Pick SKUs from cold room (0–5°C) using iPad packer app
• Work accurately to pick KPIs, stage orders for dispatch, and maintain a clean picking area
• Comfortable working in cold conditions – appropriate PPE and cold-weather gear provided
• Identifying and reporting damaged, missing, or incorrect stock, and maintaining a clean and safe picking area
• Supporting general warehouse duties as directed by your team leader

Packers:

• Approx. 7:00am Start
• Build boxes, add ice, seal and label to spec for dispatch
• Ensuring all packed orders meet quality standards prior to staging for dispatch
• Working closely with the picking team to maintain a smooth, efficient pack line and meet daily targets
• Maintaining a clean and safe packing station at all times

Forklift Operators:

• Approx. 4:00am Start | Valid LF Licence Required
• Restocking the pick line prior to the day shift start, ensuring pickers have full product availability from the outset
• Rotating stock in line with FIFO procedures to minimise waste and maintain product quality and freshness
• Managing pallets across multiple temperature-controlled zones including chilled (0–5°C) and deep freezer (-18°C) areas – appropriate PPE and thermal gear provided
• Moving pallets into and out of the deep freezer (-18°C) safely and efficiently as part of daily inbound and replenishment activities
• Operating the forklift safely and in accordance with site safety standards and your LF licence conditions at all times
• Assisting with general warehouse duties including stocktakes, quality checks, and inventory accuracy as required

You’ll Bring:

• Reliable, punctual attendance – these are early starts and consistency is key
• Physically fit, able to lift up to 20kg, and comfortable working in cold environments
• Good attention to detail, a team-first attitude, and commitment to safe work practices

For the Forklift Operator Role, You’ll Also Need:

• A valid LF forklift licence
• Demonstrated experience operating a counterbalance or similar forklift in a warehouse or cold storage environment
• Confidence working in temperature-controlled environments, including deep freezer areas (-18°C)
• Experience with stock rotation, pallet management, and pick line replenishment
