About the Role:
Reporting to the Aftersales Supply Chain Manager, the Parts Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing and optimising the end-to-end aftersales parts supply chain. This role plays a critical part in ensuring parts availability while balancing inventory investment and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business inputs.
- Execute supply planning activities to ensure optimal stock availability while minimising excess and obsolescence.
- Coordinate international inbound shipments (sea, air, and land freight) to meet delivery timelines.
- Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Liaise with local and international suppliers to ensure timely supply of parts.
- Raise and manage purchase orders (POs) in line with demand and supply plans.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, tracking supplier performance (OTIF, lead time, quality).
- Maintain strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and systems (e.g., WMS).
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure efficient receiving, storage, and despatch processes.
- Analyse supply chain data to track KPIs such as fill rate, backorders, forecast accuracy, and inventory turns.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3–5 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related role.
- Experience in automotive parts operations or dealership networks is highly regarded.
- Strong experience in supply planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
- Solid understanding of international freight and import processes.
- Strong analytical capability, with proven experience in root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel/data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all
levels.
