Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our high-performing finance team.

This is a key role responsible for owning the end-to-end month-end close process, financial reporting and audit coordination across both corporate and fund entities. You will play a critical part in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial operations in a multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Month-End Close & Financial Operations

• Lead and execute the end-to-end month-end close across multiple entities

• Review journals, reconciliations and workpapers prepared by Financial Analysts

• Maintain the month-end timetable and ensure delivery within required deadlines

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports for internal and group reporting

Financial Reporting & Audit

• Support year-end audits and half-year reviews, managing audit requests and timelines

• Ensure compliance with AASB/IFRS accounting standards and internal controls

Payments & Operational Finance

• Review accounts payable transactions to ensure timely and accurate payments

• Manage corporate credit card reconciliations and expense processing

About you:

• 3–5 years’ experience in financial accounting or audit

• Proven experience owning month-end close processes across multiple entities

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including financial reporting and AASB/IFRS standards

• CA/CPA qualified

• High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (Xero preferred)

• Experience in the funds management sector highly regarded
