Duty Manager – Logistics

We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and passionate Duty Manager to join our Management team. This role will work alongside our current Logistics management team to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively while meeting all KPIs. This role oversees all aspects of employee management from onboarding, training, performance management, and culture building.

Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work across a variety of shifts — including early mornings, days, afternoons or nights — as well as weekends when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Logistics team in daily planning, achieving operational requirements.
  • Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox sessions, and ensure timely submission of health, safety, and environmental lead indicators.
  • Be a proactive problem-solver, handling tasks from policy enforcement to last minute scheduling changes.
  • Cover operational duties when needed to ensure successful completion of deadlines.
  • Oversee timesheet approvals, payroll processing and roster management.
  • Collaborate with HR for recruitment and employee management.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and safe work practices.

Please note: In this role, you will be required to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which includes a full federal background check. The recruitment process also includes a Pre-Employment Medical (PEM).

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Currently hold, or able to obtain ASIC and Airside Driving Authority (ADA) qualification.
  • Previous experience leading a team.
  • Experience in Aviation/Logistics/Warehousing Industry – with an understanding of HACCP/food & quality safety
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to apply quality decision-making in high-pressure situations.
  • Showcase resourcefulness and effective delegation of tasks.
  • Demonstrate a drive for results and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Computer literacy in the Microsoft 360 suite.
