The Interim Chief People, Safety and Culture Officer (CPSO) is an enterprise executive role responsible for leading workforce strategy, organisational transformation, safety and risk, and culture across Foodbank Queensland.
Reporting to the CEO, the Interim CPSO partners with the Executive and Board to ensure the
organisation’s workforce, leadership capability and safety framework are aligned to strategic priorities, financial sustainability and evolving service delivery models.
The role extends beyond traditional HR leadership to include enterprise accountability
for organisational design, workforce sustainability, transformation delivery, and safety as a core organisational risk and governance priority. At an operational level, this means leading recruitment and onboarding and setting a high performance, value-aligned culture through all stages or the workforce life cycle.
Foodbank Queensland is undergoing significant organisational transformation, requiring a
reset of workforce structure, cost base, operating model and leadership.
The Interim CPSO will play a critical role in:
- Deliberately reshaping the workforce to align with new service delivery models
- Embedding financial discipline and workforce sustainability
- Leading through change, including restructuring and cultural reset
To be considered for this role you must possess the following mandatory skills and experience:
- A successful and proven record as a senior HR leader in a multi-disciplinary
role.
- Demonstrated experience leading organisational transformation, including restructuring and
workforce realignment.
- Strong commercial acumen, including ability to link workforce decisions to financial
performance and sustainability
- Experience operating at executive level in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Proven capability in enterprise safety and risk leadership (beyond compliance-based
WHS).
- Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and implement a broad range of contemporary HR and
organisational development strategies, programs, policies and operational practices to successfully support the strategic objectives of the business.
- A proven track record in either working as an executive or directly supporting
the executive on people and culture strategies.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a
range of stakeholders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from
a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
- Degree level qualifications in Human Resources or in a related discipline.
