Description

THE ROLE

The HRBP provides specialist HR support to our Australian and New Zealand region. Based in the Western Suburbs, this is a hybrid role, offering up to one day a week from home, with benefits such as Birthday Leave and employee discounts and incentives.

This is a 12-month contract role to start in August 2026.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with leadership teams and employees to successfully achieve business and people related objectives

Employee Relations

  • Apply employee relations and employment best practices in order to create a positive, ethical and effective work environment
  • Recommend ER practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation
  • Provide people management guidance and assistance in managing performance and processes
  • Effectively manage, investigate and report on grievances, and ER matters in an efficient manner ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company standards

Policy

  • Ensure accurate and consistent interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures including terms and conditions of employment
  • Recommend changes to national policies and procedures to meet local site needs

Talent Management & Recruitment

  • Support leaders and managers in identifying, coaching, developing, engaging and retaining talent
  • Management of LinkedIn business page including content
  • Assist the Recruitment Specialist with end to end recruitment process, when required

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • 3+ years proven experience as a HR generalist with sound judgement, professionalism and strong interpersonal skills
  • A good understanding of the Fair Work Act, Awards and National Employment Standards, as well as a well-developed understanding of their application and interpretation
  • Ability to establish positive and productive ongoing working relationships built on trust and respect
  • High level of emotional intelligence and discretion
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources (desirable)
